Select four boulder problems: one hard, one moderate, and two easy. Attempt each climb in the following order: hard, easy, moderate, easy. If you fall on your first attempt, try the problem once more, then move on. Once you have climbed all four boulder problems, take a 10 minute rest and repeat. Do this four times.

For this circuit to target the right energy system, you should be flashing at least three of the boulders and resting minimally between boulders. Record your tops in each set and the total number of sets you were able to complete.


To work on endurance and strength, select boulder problems on vertical and steep walls.
