For youth ages 4-18, we offer experiential learning that aims to create a love of movement, solid climbing skills and enough comfort, community and fun that youth can take on the challenges and joys that climbing (and life!) offers.

Tots (Ages 4-6)

Our Tots Programs offer guided climbing time for our youngest climbers. Each participant will be guided to explore the world of bouldering through fun climbing games and basic instruction. Offered at chill times in the gym, our Tots Programs instructors aim to bring support and encouragement to help each climber build confidence as they explore bouldering.

Kids Program (Ages 7-9)

The SBP Kids Program offers a fun, creative, and supportive atmosphere that promotes a love of climbing and exercise. Enthusiastic SBP staff will guide climbers through a youth-driven exploration of climbing fundamentals—helping young boulderers develop confidence, trust, and social skills. Kids Program focuses on group encouragement and support in an active environment.

The SBP Youth Program is designed for the budding young climber seeking more climbing experience. Specific games and activities are tailored to the group's unique strengths and abilities, ensuring positive climbing experiences for all involved. With more structured lessons and two days of climbing per week, the SBP Youth Program engages climbers through challenges and activities that promote technique, strength, and balance.

Junior Program (Ages 12+)

Our Juniors Programs offer a collaborative environment for teen climbers to explore more nuanced bouldering technique, identify and work towards goals, and continue to develop their strength, balance, coordination and skill. Instructors will focus on the individual needs of each climber while building a supportive group atmosphere to build community and love for movement.

Many schools award PE credits for Junior Program participation—please speak with your PE Department and the SBP to coordinate.

Seattle Climbing Team (Ages 8-18)

The Seattle Climbing Team welcomes youth of all skill levels looking to challenge themselves in a competitive climbing format. The physical and mental obstacles of competitive climbing provide opportunities for leadership development, problem solving, positive self-motivation and the progression of climbing skills. Coaches support each individual in their unique development as a climber, while fostering a safe and supportive team environment. Team members will participate in a number of local bouldering competitions with the opportunity to progress to regional and national competitions.

Many schools award PE credits for Team participation—please speak with your PE Department and SBP to coordinate.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS


SBP Summer Camps 2018 (Ages 6-12)

Monday — Thursday
9:00am — 2:00pm

What's in a week of summer climbing camp? Climbing, obstacle courses, more climbing, silly games, relay races and more climbing! Kids ages 6-12, we invite you to four days full of climbing games and activities that help you build technique and strength while having an amazing amount of fun with other climbers. Come with your friends or make new ones here throughout the week! Camp will be divided into groups by age and ability, creating a supportive environment for all participants.

PRICING Includes camp t-shirt! No Lunch Provided.
$275 per week (Mon-Thurs)
$235 per week for youth climbers with a current SBP membership

Climbing is high energy and uses up a lot of fuel! Please send your climber to camp with a lunch, a water bottle and a snack. SBP will provide one additional snack throughout the day.

SBP Junior Camps 2018 (Ages 12-18)

Teen climbers, unite! Junior camps are our training camp option for our older youth. With a focus on technique progression, strength training and understanding of more nuanced bouldering movement, the Juniors Camp will challenge both new-to-climbing and experienced teenagers alike. We'll still have fun all week with games and lunchtime silliness, but we'll also delve deeper into bouldering fundamentals; we'll practice the process of goal-setting; we'll encourage each other and feel the reward that comes from hard-work.

$325 per week (Mon-Thurs)
$275 per week for youth climbers with a current SBP Membership

Birthday Parties

Come climb, slide, jump and roll with the SBP staff for your next birthday party.

YOUTH SAFETY INFORMATION

Youth 13 and younger must be directly supervised by an adult at all times.

One adult may not be responsible for more than 2 youth in our main climbing areas & fitness area.

One adult may not be responsible for more than 3 youth in our youth climbing areas.

Before climbing, participants under 18 must have their waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

SAVE TIME AND PAPER! Fill out our online waiver before you come to the gym OR download and print the waiver.
All climbers and non-climbers must have a waiver on file before entering the climbing area.
